General information:
Vita K+D is a vitamin preparation in the form of an openable “twist-off” capsules. 1 openable “twist-off” capsule contains 25 micrograms of vitamin K and 10 micrograms (400 IU) of vitamin D.
Vitamin K is responsible for correct blood coagulation. Supplementation of vitamin K is recommended for breast-fed neonates and infants. In accordance with the expert group’s recommendations related to prevention of bleeding connected with vitamin K deficiency, breast-fed neonates and infants should receive 25 micrograms of vitamin K per day starting from the 2nd week till the end of the 3rd month of life.
Vitamin D is essential for correct bone tissue growth. It supports the process of calcium and phosphorus absorption from food in accordance with the needs of the body. In accordance with the expert group’s recommendations related to prevention of vitamin D deficiency:
PREMATURELY BORN NEONATES:
- Breast-fed neonates should receive vitamin D in dose 400-800 IU/day from the first days of life till the end of 40 week of corrected age,
- After finishing 40 week of corrected age, vitamin D should be administrated as in infants born on time (400 IU/day)
NEONATES BORN ON TIME:
- Breast-fed neonates should receive vitamin D in dose 400 IU/day from the first days of life
INFANTS BORN ON TIME:
- Breast-fed infants should receive vitamin D in dose 400 IU/day
Composition:
Capsule coating: edible gelatin, humidity agent: glycerol.
Capsule content: MCT oil (medium-chain triglycerides), antioxidant: mixture of tocopherols, vitamin K, vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol, tocopherol, coconut oil).

Recommended daily dose:
Content of 1 openable “twist-off” capsule per day (25 micrograms of vitamin K and 10 micrograms of vitamin D).

Preparation and administration methods:
Revolve and tear off tip of the capsule. Than squeeze content of the capsule into infant’s mouth or mother’s milk. Special caution should be kept during using of this preparation, in case of protection before swallowing the capsule by the infant.
Important notice:
Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. The product must be used under medical supervision. The product is not appropriate for parenteral use. Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients.
Storage conditions:
Store under 25°C in original package in case of protection from light. Do not freeze.
